You will need walking shoes, comfortable and breathable clothes, swim suit, hat, towel, sunscreen.

Can I organize a trip with just my friends or family?
Yes, just let us know your chosen trip and we can organize a private departure. Prices may vary from those given on the website, depending on the size of the group and date of departure.

What is the accommodation going to be like?
Accommodation is clean and simple. You'll mainly stay in small, locally-run, 2-3 star hotels and guesthouses, which reflect the character of the area.

What is the food like?
Breakfasts are generally buffets that take your active program into consideration with a variety of low-fat and high-nutrition choices. Lunch is generally on your own, although some groups tours decide to pool funds on some days and enjoy picnics en route. In private guesthouses breakfast and dinner is at your own.

How far in advance do I need to book?
We suggest you book as soon as your plans are finalised as Istria is extremely popular over the summer months.

When is the best time of year?
Traditionally April/May/June and September/October have always been the most popular time of year because the weather is better. July and August is better to avoid as it can be too hot for walking.

When do I get my tour documents?
You receive tour documents, including your hotel list and information on how to get to your starting town and hotel, tour operator contacts, packing tips, and other helpful information, about 2-3 weeks before your tour. You get packets with maps, route instructions, and sightseeing information at your start hotel.

How busy are the roads?
The beauty of cycling in Istria is that the roads are generally very quiet. Our tours are planned on local roads with some short connections on main roads but generally the cycling is relaxed and traffic light.

What happens if I can’t cycle a stage?
We use local taxis to transfer your baggage and they can normally move you, your bike and baggage to the next stop in case of emergency. Local buses can also sometimes take bikes.

What is the size of the group on a guided tour?
We usually take between four and twelve guests on each guided tour. If we have a larger group, we'll have additional leaders so that we can split up if necessary. With this size of group, we can cater for individual needs and still ensure the whole party is well looked after.

How knowledgeable and experienced is the Group Leader?
The local guides undergo extensive training in all aspects of travel in the region. They are full-time professionals and are selected for their empathy and knowledge of the area you are visiting.

Where is the meeting point?
Meeting point can be at our office agreed in advance or at any airport or bus/train station in the region.

We booked a week long of activities with Fiore tours and we were not disappointed. We had a great time. We did activities from kayaking to mountain biking and caving and hill walking. Our guides for the week were Luka and Ilija who were very helpful and friendly. They had a great knowledge of the activities that we did and were very informative of the local area and welcomed any questions that we had.

Our accommodation was comfortable and met our needs. The rest of the staff at Fiore tours were very friendly and approachable. This holiday met all our expectations and we would recommend Fiore tours to everyone.

I have no hesitation in recommending the multi-activity program as an excellent holiday. The days are run at a relaxed pace and there is a perfect combination of physical activity, fantastic food and delicious wine. Our fantastic guides Dalibor and Boris made the week so much fun and taught us about the history and culture of the places we visited. Our accommodation "Milena", situated in the idylic village Bacva was gorgeous. It is farmhouse style accommodation and the manager Djordje and his beautiful family made us feel so welcome and spoilt. This has definitely been one of the best tours I have done and already I can't wait to come back to Istria.

The best trip for me was the Mountain bike tour. I liked that I could go as fast as I want, It was really good that guide Luca waited for the last, so I didn't have the feeling that I have to look for that. I really liked all of the trips so much, so thank you. The sightseeing between the trips were very nice.

I liked that all the Fiore employers are very friendly and that the office is "always"open, if you have a question. I also liked the difference trips, they are well choiced. I was surprised that we got lunch almost every day and I really loved eating in Hum. The lenght for several trips are well chosen. I don't know that we do sightseeing in little villages before mountain biking and after hiking - that was great!
