Cycling old Dalmatia: Dubrovnik to Split - small group departures

DAY 1 KONAVLE WARM UP DAY 31 km / 390 m
Morning meeting with representative and tour leader in the hotel. After bike fitting we will have a short bike ride at Konavle once a southeast land of the Dubrovnik Republic. Afternoon group will have an organized city tour in Dubrovnik. City walls, main street – Stradun or Lovrjenac fort will leave you breathless and give just part of the experience what Dubrovnik was in the his rich history. Pearl of Adriatic is the best place to start our bike tour.

DAY 2 STON-KORČULA 59 km / 1074 m
After breakfast in Dubrovnik we will take transfer (1 h) to the town of Ston from where will start our biking tour on Pelješac peninsula. Before start you will have the opportunity to walk over magnificent city walls long 5,5 km. As well Ston is surrounded by oyster farm and nice restaurants with shell specialties. From Ston we will ride to Orebić where we are taking the ferry to town of Korčula on island of Korčula. During the bike ride next to vineyards of Pelješac peninsula you will have choice to taste symbols of Croatian and Dalmatian sorts of wines as Pošip or Dingač.

DAY 3 KORČULA LOOP 47 km / 1025 m
After spending a night in the historical town of Korčula we will take a bike loop tour from magnificent landscape of island of Korčula. After the tour you will spend a night in birthplace of famous traveler Marco Polo where you can visit Marco Polo's exhibition in the center of town. Korčula is well known by the mock battle dance (Moreška) with each soldier holding two swords is traditionally performed on July 29 (St. Theodore's Day) and weekly during the summer. The dance is performed only by males from Korčula town families.

DAY 4 KORČULA-VELA LUKA 42km / 735 m
Second day on Korčula we will bike from east to the west of the island. In Vela Luka we will have private boat transfer to the town of Hvar on the island of Hvar where we will spend the next day. During the ride over island of Korčula we will pass through the lush forests of holm oak and Mediterranean pines. At the end of the biking day we will have olive oil tasting at one of local Korčula's oil producers. This is the reason why Greeks were 4th century BC named island Korkyra Melaina or Dark Korčula. Afternoon we will spend at the town of Hvar.

DAY 5 HVAR-JELSA-STARI GRAD 43 km / 685 m
As island of Korčula, Hvar name derives from the Greek - Pharos. During the history island Hvar was under Venitian influence what is seen in picturesque architecture of town Hvar. Today we will bike to the town of Jelsa and finish bike tour close to Stari Grad at wine tasting in local winery. On our trip we see lavender farms as same as olive trees typical landscape of Mediterranean islands. Afternoon we will take the ferry to town of Split.

DAY 6 ISLAND OF BRAČ 36 km / 635 m
From Diocletian town we will take the morning ferry to island of Brač. Beautiful landscape, but hilly roads will be a real challenge for anyone. Stone from island of Brač is representing the soul of the island and most famous product of which is bulided UNESCO protected heritage - Diocletian palace, the White House in Washington or Pope's alter in the Vatican. Our Brač tour will finish at local restaurant called konoba with fresh and domestic food.

DAY 7 DEPARTURE FROM SPLIT
