DAY 01 Zagreb
Arrival on Zagreb airport
Accommodation:Hotel Dubrovnik 4*, Zagreb
Transportation:from Zagreb airport to hotel in Zagreb ( 40 minutes drive)

DAY 02 Zagreb - Ljubljana
Zagreb Tour, capital of Croatia. Afternoon we will spend in Zagreb, captial of Croatia, including the fortified Upper Town, the city's historical center, St. Mark's Church with its multi-colored roof, the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theater. In afternoon we depart towards Ljubljana for overnight.

DAY 03 Ljubljana-Postojna caves - Poreč,
During guided tour you will see most of the attractions in the city center. The most distinctive feature of Slovenia 's largest city is its medieval hilltop Castle offering breathtaking panorama of the city and surrounding area
On the way to Poreč we will stop at Postojna caves, a 20-km cave system formed by water and home to a unique species known as the “human fish.”Arrival in Porec with its famous the 6th century Euphrasius Basilica

DAY 04 Poreč – Trawler adventure - Rovinj
After breakfast we will sail on the trawler boat where you will have the chance to lower and raise the fishing nets, gain knowledge of a fisherman's life.After the fishing net is pulled out and the fishis sorted, cleaned, cooked and served on the boat.Adventure ends in Rovinj, one of the most beautiful Istrian towns where you will see historical monuments and city itself, we will visit the church of St. Euphemia and its magnificent bell tower

DAY 05 Pula – olive oil tasting - Bale
After breakfast we will depart towards Pula, the largest town of Istrian county with lot of great monuments like Arena, the most important monument in Croatia from the Roman antiquity, Walking tour aroundthe city to see monuments such as The Arch of Sergii, Hercules’s and the Double Gates.
The Istrian tradition of olive oil making dates back to the ancient times.During the Roman times the best olive oil was actually produced in Istria.Istrian soil is very appropriate for olive cultivation and major olive oil producing area in Istria is down south around Vodnjan. And exactly there we will meet one of the most famous olive oil producer.

DAY 06 Cooking course
Our cooking course will allow you to immerse yourself in the culture and lifestyle of Istria and learn to cook authentic Istrian dishes. Together we will prepare a 4 course typical istrian meal for lunch.
• MANESTRA - Te queen of rural Istrian cuisine. A thick soup of beans, potatoes, fennel and “bobici“ (sweet young corn), favored with bacon, “prsut“ or ham bones. “Jota“, the winter version, uses sauerkraut in place of fresh corn.
• MAKARUNI or PLJUKANCI, spindle-shaped pasta,. Like lasagna, fusi also have a wide use but are generally smothered in homemade sauces , or Istrian goulash.
• PEKA COOKING - A clay pot and fitting lid with a narrow hole are typically used. Filled with pork, fish or chicken, potatoes and vegetables, the pot is buried in hot coals in an open fireplace while the hole remains uncovered.
Transfer to Motovun, our next destination.

DAY 07 Truffles & Wine
5-minutes drive to Llivade, truffle center of the world.Truffle in gastronomy is on top level. Underground hidden bulb, with no plant above ground is very difficult to find. Only, a well-trained dog can sniff them.During 1 hour walk through the forest truffler will tell us all the secrets about truffles. After that, 4-courses lunch will be served on base of truffles followed with wine in a specialized restaurant. Perched on a hill high above the Mirna river valley, Groznjan is a 14th-century Venetian fortress reborn as the most important arts colony in Istria. In 1960’ it was almost abandoned when a group of artists rebuild it.
Visiting one of the best wine cellars in Istria, we will get acquainted with procedure of wine production and tasting of white, red and sweet wine. Return in hotel and overnight.

DAY 08 NP Plitvice
This morning we drive through the highlands of Croatia to one of the most magnificent natural sites in Europe, the Plitvice Lakes. Here sixteen lakes cascade from one to another in a series of waterfalls. Surrounded by dense woods, the region is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. We wander the paths and wooden boardwalks which follow the succession of lakes and waterfalls where streams burst out of the rocks.

DAY 09 Zadar- Nin Saltworks
In afternoon we descend from the mountains to Dalmatia.It offers Roman ruins, spectacular beaches, old fishing ports, medieval architecture and historic cities. The dramatic coastal scenery is due to the rugged Dinaric Alps inland and the hundreds of islands offshore.Walking tour of Zadar, the ancient capital of Dalmatia.Massive 16th-century fortifications still shield the city on the landward side, with high walls running along the harbour.Roman Forum, and the 9th Century Church of St Donat, one of the most outstanding monuments in Dalmatia. The Nin Saltworks is one of the rare saltworks to produce salt in the traditional, natural and ecological way, by using the energy of the sun and the wind. Clean environment, climate with many hours of sun and a favourable wind ensure that the Nin Saltworks salt is of top quality.

DAY 10 NP Krka - Trogir
Breakfast, the most beautiful river in Croatia, carves deep canyons in the limestone between Knin and Skradin.Among many waterfalls, between these two biggest waterfalls is located Visovac Lake and the Franciscan monastery in the point where river enters the lake.
Next stop is Trogir.The town occupies the tiny island connected to the mainland by a causeway. Many Romanesque and Renaissance architectural styles within its 15th-century walls, as well as the magnificent cathedral at the town centre. Venetian Cathedral of St. Lovro considered to be one of the finest architectural works in Croatia.

DAY 11 Split city tour and free time
Roman emperor Diocletian started to build his palace here in the land of his birth.A military fortress, imperial residence and fortified town with walls high up to 26m. Today it’s one of the most imposing Roman ruins in existence..Buildings within the palace boundaries are home to about 3,000 people. We visit the impressive cellars of the palace to get an idea of the original structure, the Peristyle, and Cathedral of St. Dominus.. The harbourside promenade lined with cafés and high coastal mountains set against the blue Adriatic are perfect to enjoy a coffe with view.

DAY 12 Ston - Dubrovnik
On the way to Dubrovnik we'll visit Ston, the small town famous for oyster farm with aphrodisiac properties. After visit farm and oyster tasting followed by fish lunch there is opportunity to walk on the 5,5 km long wall of Ston. It was an important fort for the Republic of Raguse (Dubrovnik).Drive to Dubrovnik.

DAY 14 Dubrovnik city tour Konavle
Powerful walls were built between the 13th and 16th centuries and are still intact today.Walking tour begins at the Pile Gate, which dates from 1537. The Franciscan Monastery & Museum houses the third-oldest functioning pharmacy We see the old harbour, the St Laurence Fortress and the 16th Century Sponza Palace which was originally a customs house, a State treasury and a bank. The Rector's Palace is an elegant 15th-century building erected on the site of an old fort in order to house the rector,

Accommodation is in very comfortable 3* and 4* hotels.Every room has its own private bathroom.  

What is the food like?

Breakfasts are generally buffets that take your active program into consideration with a variety of low-fat and high-nutrition choices. If its not mentioned Lunch is generally on your own, although some groups decide to on some days and enjoy picnics. Dinners are included as mentioned in itinerary.Expect either a fixed menu or a few choices. If you have any allergies, restrictions or strong preferences, please let us know as far in advance as possible.  

How far in advance do I need to book?

We suggest you book as soon as your plans are finalised as Croatia is extremely popular over the summer months.  

When is the best time of year?

Traditionally April/May/June and September/October have always been the most popular time of year because the weather is better. July and August is better to avoid as it can be too hot for walking.  

When do I get my tour documents?

You receive tour documents, including your hotel list and information on how to get to your starting town and hotel, tour operator contacts, packing tips, and other helpful information, about 2-3 weeks before your tour. You get packets with maps, route instructions, and sightseeing information at your start hotel.

What is the size of the group on a guided tour?

We usually take between four and twelve guests on each guided tour. If we have a larger group, we'll have additional leaders so that we can split up if necessary. With this size of group, we can cater for individual needs and still ensure the whole party is well looked after.

How knowledgeable and experienced is the Group Leader?

The local guides undergo extensive training in all aspects of travel in the region. They are full-time professionals and are selected for their empathy and knowledge of the area you are visiting.
